The Democratic Creed
We Believe All people are created equal, that this is America’s fundamental ideal.
We Believe That America is a democracy, by and for the people: ruled by the Constitution and its interpretations, protected by the Bill of Rights, and inspired by the Declaration of Independence.
We Believe These founding documents demand Freedom, Justice, and Opportunity for all Americans, in full and equal measure — regardless of who you are, what you believe or where you live.
We Believe That the Duty of government is to strive endlessly to make the ideals of Freedom, Justice and Opportunity a reality for all.
We Believe That the purpose of government is to protect our nation, defend our democracy, and to endlessly promote the welfare of each and every one of us.

Where & When Do We Meet?
We meet each month in various locations. We try to alternate between the Dillsburg, Dover area and the Newberry, Fairview area. In the summer we meet in parks and in the colder months we meet at either Dillsburg Senior Center or our new location at 1975 York Haven Road, Etters.
What Do We Do?
- WE INFORM
- Send out postcards on local events, elections and candidates
- Maintain a website and Facebook pages
- Provide voters with precinct specific voter guides for primary and general elections. Contact us for one for your precinct.
- Report on current political events, school board meetings, township supervisor meetings, etc.
- WE ORGANIZE
- Conduct membership drives
- Mentor new volunteers
- Organize lit drops and canvasses
- Have poll greeters at polling locations within northern York County
- WE ELECT
- Carry out drive-by petition events
- Mentor local candidates running for school board, borough and township supervisors, etc.
Who Can Join? How Do I Join?
Most of our members are Democrats from northern York County, but we welcome people from other parts of York as well as Independents and Republicans who share our Democratic Values. However to be a voting member you must be a Democrat and have paid dues for the current year.
Your annual donation of $20 makes you a member of NYDC for the year and helps us turn Pennsylvania purple by supporting these type of club activities. You can pay using the ActBlue link below, or send a check made out to NYDC to 1975 York Haven Rd, Etters, PA 17319.
